In addition to the two editors 27 contributors are represented in the book. While all the expected artistic and cultural activities are traversed, the work goes further to examine other aspects , "Includuing language, religion, rites of passage, personality and cultura aspects of food." Moving to more modern developoments matters such as political and corporate culture, inter-cultural marriage, patterns of violence and how traditional community responsibilies have intergrated, or otherwies, with governemnetal establishments and commerce are included, As a logical conclusion there is a look to future prospects. This wide-ranging and ambitious survey is a credit to all who played a part in its production. First edition of 2003, 370 pages including appendix, glossary, notes on contributors etc, bibliography and index, numerous colour photos, b/w illustrations including some art throughout, plus drawings, ethnic designs, tables, diagrams and maps. Colour art card covers NF with faint crease lower front coner, internally excellent, an ink signature alongside one name in list of contributors.
