AbeBooks ISBN Matching Service

ISBN and bibliographic details are added to each listing based on the information you provide, such as author, title and publisher. The more information you provide, the more likely a match will be found. If you provide all details for a book, ISBN matching isn't necessary; ISBN matching will never overwrite bookseller supplied information.

The AbeBooks ISBN matching service will also assign a stock photo to your listing, if one is available.

ISBN matching allows book buyers to search by ISBN, and ensures that your listings will be returned in the Search results.

Should you wish a particular title not be matched, simply enter "NOISBN" in its keyword field. This keyword will prevent an ISBN, and associated bibliographic information, from being assigned to your book.
Keep in mind that if you apply this keyword, the book will not be searchable by ISBN unless you provide one.

You can also choose to prevent all ISBN matching from being applied to your listings. Simply contact Customer Support and request that ISBN Matching be disabled for your account.

When you process your orders, we recommend that you click the [Book Details] link to view your listing as the buyer did. If any of the ISBN or bibliographic details are incorrect, please reject the order and update the listing.
