Adding Tracking Information to an Order

 

Shipping orders by a trackable method, and entering the tracking details online, is the best protection against claims of non-delivery and refunds for 'Item did not arrive.' Doing so also instills buyer confidence, since buyers appreciate being able to track their packages, resulting in repeat business for you.

We understand that trackable methods are not always available to all destinations using domestic postal services.  Please investigate other shipping options, such as courier services, if you'd like to add tracking to such orders.

 

To Add Tracking Information to a Processed Order:

 

1. [Sign on] to your AbeBooks account.

2. Click [Process your Orders] from the Quick Links menu to the right of the Members Menu.

3. Under List Orders at the top of the screen, enter the AbeBooks order number. Click the [List Orders] button.

4. Click [Review Order].

5. Under Order Information on the right hand side of the screen, enter the Shipping Company and Tracking Number in the spaces provided. Note: In order to prevent refunds for 'Item did not arrive,' both fields must be completed and the tracking number must be valid.

6. Click the  [Update] button to save the information.
