Boots and Saddles or Life in Dakota with General Custer. Printed in New York City by Harper & Brothers. 1885, 312 pp, 7.5 x 5.25 , 8vo, hardcover decorative brown cloth. In good condition, with minor rubbing and wear to exterior. Loss to front end page. Hinges remain in good condition and text block remains bound well. Frontispiece and tissue guard adjacent to title page. Light markings and marginalia at front. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce book by Elizabeth Bacon Custer (1844-1933), the wife of General George Armstrong Custer, who was killed at the Battle of Little Bighorn in 1876.
