Paper covered printed boards. Several pages text followed by the bw and color plates. This collection captures the creative spirit of textile and wallpaper design in France in the early 20s. Illustrated in the fifty plates are Ruhlamnn's wallpaper designs Monnaie du Pape and Grand damas; Raoul Dufy's designs for drapery fabric and toiles; André Mare's wallpaper design Les Fables de La Fontaine; wallpapers by Rob. Mallet-Stévens, André Groult, and Louis Süe; toiles designed by Jourdain, Boigegrain, Patou, and Atelier "Martine." Of the fifty plates, eighteen are printed with a single color wash and fourteen are pochoir prints whose vivid coloring convey the vibrancy of the designs. Contains a handwritten translation of the text into English. However, missing the following plates: 8, 10, 15, 23, 36 and 42. Good+ wear to edges of portfolio boards, old masking tape along spine.
