Publisher's original printed gray stiff wrappers, front cover with ornate border decorations and with title printed in gold, sm 4to (9 3/4 x 7 1/4 inches). According to the ad listed at the end of the volume, this work presents "a selection of pictorial initial letters and curious designs and ornaments from original wooden blocks belonging to The Leadenhall Press." From the private library of C. T. (Charles Thomas) Jacobi with his custom bookplate and signature on the front endpaper. C. T. Jacobi (1853-1933) was an English printer and managing partner of the Chiswick Press; Jacobi supervised the production of some of the era's most notable books. Rare work especially in this nice condition. Some light soiling to the rear (blank) cover, professional repairs made spine, a few three pages show light marginal soiling, the remainder of the pages are very bright and clean; a tight and clean copy in very good condition.
