Book Description Taschen GmbH, Cologne, Germany, 2013. Hardcover. Book Condition: As New. ** SIGNED COPY ** Brand New, Beautiful and Unread First Edition/1st Printing, 2 Massive Multilingual Volumes in Pictorial Slipcase. This set signed directly to the title page of Volume I by internationally acclaimed artists, Gary Baseman, Tim Biskup, Patrick Hruby and Amanda Vissell, all of whom are featured in this mind-bending, Folio-size artistic extravaganza. The editors' first dilemma: Take a roster of 600 of the world's finest living modern Illustrators, then narrow them down to only 100--the absolute best of the best! " The final cut, including artists such as Istvan Banyai, Gary Baseman, Seymour Chwast, Paul Davis, Brad Holland, Mirko Ilic, Anita Kunz, and Christoph Niemann, provides a snapshot of the highly dynamic and diverse world of contemporary illustration." This Superb set features: A self-portrait by each illustrator and numerous examples of their work; a profile text about each illustrator by Steven Heller; Lists of selected exhibitions and publications; and, finally, the Illustrators, themselves supply illuminating and insightful quotes about his/her own work. Bursting with fabulous color illustrations throughout. A truly amazing addition to any collection of Art/illustration-related books. Why not up the ante? What truly might make things even more super fun and interesting would be for the intrepid purchaser to add additional artist autographs going forward, by attending shows, visiting museums, and perhaps even corresponding with individual artists to obtain their signatures, until you've perfected the entire collection with all 100 autographs. These books, packaged to ship safely, weigh out at over 13 pounds, and they unquestionably will require additional shipping for expedited or international delivery. Ships FAST!! and securely (insured, in a well-padded box, and with free domestic tracking) from Southern California. Bookseller Inventory # ABE1244B28
