About this Item

"The 101 ratios are organized into six categories-sales, profit, debt/capital, efficiency, marketing, and investment. Each is described in five ways, starting with a succinct written definition. A sometimes-provocative essay {reflecting the author's 40 years of hands-on business experience} explains what the ration measures, why it is important, who looks at it, and the meaning of the numbers. This is followed by three forms of equation for calculating each ratio. A plain English verbal equation is structured around familiar accounting words and phrased. A second version uses relatively short acronymic names {for use on ledgers, spreadsheets, and in computer programs}. The last {most concise} uses symbolic variable names suitable for programming languages such as BASIC." This book has 261 pages and is illustrated throughout. Bookseller Inventory # 018863
