Title: 12 Volume Works of George Eliot
Publisher: Harper & Brothers
Binding: Hard Cover
Book Condition: Good
Dust Jacket Condition: No Jacket
Twelve volume Works of George Eliot. Included are Adam Bede, Daniel Deronda (2 volumes), Essays and Leaves From a note-Book, Felix Holt, The Radical, Middlemarch (2 volumes), Poems, Romola, Scenes of Clerical Life and Silas Marner, The impressions of Theophrastus Such and The Mill On the Floss. I believe that these are from the fifteen-volume "Popular Edition" published by Harper & Brothers. If so, all that is missing is the three-volume "Georger Eliot's Life" by J. W. Cross. All came from the private library of a West Texas family and some have related newspaper clippings tucked inside. Brown or olive cloth covers with gold lettering and front cover facsimile Elliot signature. Brown end pages. Harper & Brothers. Undated, but believed to have been published circa 1890s. Condition: Good. All are complete and intact. Hinges are firm. No creases or tears. Corners are bumped and edges show some wear. Interior is unmarked save for occasional end page owner name or gift notation and a small private library catalog sticker. 17. Bookseller Inventory # 011061
