1520 Post Incunabula Saint Ignatius of Antioch / Polycarp of Smyrna Church Fathers Extremely Rare Fathers & Martyrs / Disciples of Apostle John! Ignatius of Antioch (ca. 35 or 50-between 98 and 117) was among the Apostolic Fathers, was the third Bishop and Patriarch of Antioch, and was a student of John the Apostle. En route to his martyrdom in Rome, Ignatius wrote a series of letters which have been preserved as an example of very early Christian theology. Polycarp (ca. 69 – ca. 155) was a second century bishop of Smyrna. According to the Martyrdom of Polycarp, he died a martyr when he was stabbed after an attempt to burn him at the stake failed. I cannot find any other Saint Ignatius Post Incunable work for sale worldwide extremely rare. Main author: Ignatius st, bp. of Antioch.
