Printed two sides on pink paper; approximately 6" x 9" size; with the anti-drinking poem on one side, which notes that it is "Published by Ohio Anti-Saloon League, Columbus, O. Price, 90 cts. per thousand" by Rev. Norman Plass, who had at one time been President of Washburn College - six stanzas of 5 lines, from the point of view of the 'evil' saloon keepers and purveyors of alcohol to the young and the other side composed of a circle of illustrations depicting the tragedy of alcohol abuse a la late nineteenth century imagery signed in the plate by Frank Beard and which states at bottom, "From the Ram's Horn, Chicago" a 'An Interdenominational Social Gospel Magazine' which was published in the later 1800's and early 20th century - the principal illustrator Frank Beard (1842-1905) American political cartoonist and illustrator; a fragile survival, with light wear. corners and edges chipped away; paper very light quality, darkened a bit; still, in good condition; interesting United States anti-saloon and anti-drinking ephemera, with the sensationalist illustrative qualities of the time.
