The spine, front covers show light wear, tanning to endpapers; a few maps show small ink spots, tiny rubber cement spots. This copy belonged to Swiss born, Cleveland, Ohio based artist & teacher, Fred Rentschler (Cleveland School of Art), who has added his signature under another name (Emma Helen De Welies), on the front free endpaper; he has also inserted a color map of Africa, cut out of an unidentified magazine (possibly used as a design for collage or poster work?).
