13 x 9.25" brownish-red leather string-bound album with a tassel. On the inside is written: "Erinnerungen An Meine Weltreise" which translates from German as "Memories of my trip around the world." The album appears to have been put together by Oskar Lange in 1927. Contains over 340 black and white photos measuring between 1.75 x 2.5" and 5.5 x 3.5" which are pasted to the pages and accompanied by German annotations. The annotations seem to mostly describe the locations, the extensive pictures of locals that Oskar took, and the temples that he visited. Locations shown include Italy, Athens, Palestine, Egypt, Port Said, Cairo, India, the Philippines, Sri Lanka (known as Ceylon at the time), Thailand (known as Siam at the time), China, Japan, Hawaii, New York, and Hamburg. Oskar's main photographic focus during these travels seem to be the locals that he met and the architecture of every location. Some of the pages are loose. There is interleaving tissue paper with a spiderweb pattern between each page, leaving the photos in wonderful condition. The album is complete. Seller Inventory # 552
