About this Item

On offer is a sensational, massive, original scrapbook compiled and created by Helen Denzer who intimately documented the World Champion Marathon Dance held in Fort Wayne, Indiana April to July in the year 1930 and other major marathon dances. The book has ticket stubs, large and small photos, photo postcards, autographs, programs, newspapers, clippings, handwritten accounts and rules concerning contests. There are photos and information about Marathons held in Danville, Illinois. Dayton, Ohio, Gary, Indiana, Miami, Florida and Upper Darby, Pa. The White City, Rainbow Garden, the First and Second Merry Garden held in Chicago. The back has newspapers with headlines about Dance Contest.
