About this Item

SELZNICK and Directed by John Cromwell. Little Lord Fauntleroy was the FIRST FILM PRODUCED BY David O. Selznick's SELZNICK INTERNATIONAL PICTURES. It was a huge success, and was Selznick's most profitable film until GONE WITH THE WIND. The Screenplay is Dated "November 23, 1935". Original Mimeographed Screenplay, mimeographed yellow covers, mimeographed white inner pages, pages printed on one side only, 8.5" x 11", 142 pages, bound on the left side with 3 brass brads. CONDITION: The front cover has a lot of light foxing, some soiling, a 2" closed tear starting at the front edge, and some corner creasing. The rear cover has foxing and a lot of soiling, especially around its brass brads. There is some foxing to the page edges (edges of the closed screenplay). The brass brads are tarnished with age. The inner pages are nice - just lightly used and still tight, bright, clean and unmarked. An ORIGINAL SCRIPT of the FIRST FILM produced by SELZNICK INTERNATIONAL, the film that helped Selznick financially and critically move on to GWTW. Quite Historic and Rare Screenplay.
