Hi, This lot is an Original 1938 Hardback Wisden that I am selling on behalf of a fellow Holmfirthian. It is in OK condition at best. This year does turn out like this quite a lot being the first of the new style hardbacks. It is complete and nice inside but it does have weak hinges some dog ears and feels well read. Externally the gilts have dulled , the boards are marked and worn and has been loved over its life. Complete and a nice price. Condition=5/10. Seller Inventory # 671484

This lot is part of the Gary Adlam Collection, a life long Hampshire Fan who goes to pretty much every home game. His set contained most of the Hardbacks from the early 1900s. This lot is an Original 1938 Wisden Hardback. It is in Reference Condition , with Restoration. The front board is in poor condition as heavily marked and bumped at the bottom (this is a tough year to find in great condition) The front gilt is restored The spine gilt is restored The hinges are both strong but the book feels wonky Internally some light foxing but mostly clean pages Odd mark to page block. Hi, This lot is an Original 1938 Hardback Wisden that has has the gilt restored. It is in OK condition at best. This year does turn out like this quite a lot being the first of the new style hardbacks. It is complete and nice inside but it does have new gilt on the worn boards, the boards have the odd mark, internally the book is nice and clean with good hinges for the year. Hi, This lot is an Original 1938 Hardback Wisden. It is in Good to Very Good Condition. The main thing to note about this Hardback is that the gilt to the spine and the front has been restored. The top of the spine cloth is ruffled. The boards are in great order and the hinges very strong, internally the pages are clean and the book is tightly bound, the first of the new style of Hardback which is never in great condition.
