Laid-in are 3 identical Personal Printed Note Cards from "Studio of OSWALD JONAS / Universal Music Company // Chicago 5, ILL." Oswald Jonas was a noted musicologist and collector of musicology related books and manuscripts. Also laid-in is a single page erratum sheet. VERY GOOD condition. The spine gilt is faded, the upper front cover corner is bumped, the covers have a few small spots; the top page edges (edges of the closed book) have some scratches; internally very nice - tight, bright, clean and unmarked. The laid in cards of OSWALD JONAS have some light toning. The erratum sheet is toned and worn along its edges. About the author JACQUES HANDSCHIN (from German Wikipedia): ******Jacques Handschin (1886 in Moscow - 1955 in Basel) was a Swiss organist, musician and musicologist. In 1919 Handschin, together with the Russian mathematician Valentine Kowalenkow, explored the mathematics of tempered scales.
