(Mayor Lee, you are doing a good job of accelerating this tradition!) About The Golden Gateway (from local Wiki): ******The Golden Gateway was one of the first projects of the SF Redevelopment Agency. The area that is now the Golden Gateway used to be an Italian neighborhood called Produce Market. The Redevelopment Agency designated the area blighted and after a long fight with business owners in the area, it was demolished and replaced by Golden Gateway and One Maritime Plaza (both part of the Golden Gateway redevelopment project).****** This original Golden Gateway report, printed before work began on the project, is SCARCE.
