About this Item

(1979). First U.S. edition, first printing. Blind pen impressions to both covers, else about fine, in white comb-bound illustrated cardstock covers; no dust jacket, as issued. One corner within is mildly soiled, but otherwise the interior is pristine, unused. Thirteen full-color glossy plates, removable for framing, within plain-stock calendar pages. The Brothers seem uniquely suited to their subject here, and though their backgrounds pay too much homage to Maxfield Parrish, their Hobbits are especially fine. Bookseller Inventory # 4683300

The couple serves on the board of Firsts Magazine, and regularly offer articles and advice to the readers of that book collecting journal. BOOKFELLOWS operates an open shop in Glendale, California, open 6 days (closed Monday) a week. We welcome want lists and happily conduct book searches.
