Two-page letter by Neil Simon. Autograph letter, signed by Neil Simon (born 1927) to Barnaby Conrad (1922-2013) on a variety of subjects, including: not being able to attend a conference that Mr. Barnaby was hosting; "Rewrites"; and the name "Felix Unger" in Mr. Simon's hit comedy "The Odd Couple", and its subsequent turn into an "F.U." joke: in part he writes "No, I swear, I did not write Felix Unger just for the F.U. joke. Felix had to write Oscar a letter and I tried all different signatures". A wonderful letter from one well-know author and playwright to another well-known artist, author, and amateur bullfighter. ___DESCRIPTION: Single leaf of light blue stationery (9" by 7") with Neil Simon's name imprinted at the top of side one, entirely in Mr. Simon's hand, letter written on both sides, dated May 27th, 1997.
