Book Condition: Good
Dust Jacket Condition: No Jacket
A soft cover program for the first annual American Airlines golf tournament held in Woodbridge, Ontario, July 17-20, 1969. Front cover is a pictorial collage of names, teams, and signatures of all participating hockey players, including Phil Esposito (Bruins), Frank Mahovlich (Red Wings), Bobby Orr (Bruins), Bobby Hull (Black Hawks), Paul Henderson (Maple Leafs), and Gordie Howe (Red Wings), plus another 30 or so contestants. Covers soiled on both left and right edges from handling, name written on back cover (ad for Zenith TVs), otherwise the book is in very good shape. The interior is clean, with minor wrinkling at the bottom of some pages. Contents include letters from various dignitaries, including Alan Eagleson of the NHL, photos and biographies of each participant (4 photos per page, grouped into their respective hockey teams), the tournament course, the team entries, and many contemporary ads, including Gordie Howe in an ad for Eaton's and Bobby Hull in one for Yardley Black Label toiletries. This beautiful souvenir has the added bonus of two signatures: Norm Ullman (Maple Leafs) has signed his inside photograph in blue pen, and Wally Crouter (a Toronto media star at the time) has signed and printed his name on the course map. A fascinating relic from the glory days of hockey. Bookseller Inventory # 000094
