The book is the official Division record of their actions in Korea. Although printed in 1953 is was written in 1952, as such the book misses the final year of the division’s time in Korea. The book documents 6 of the 8 3rd Infantry Division Medal of Honor winners (the other 2 were wonin 1953). The Division lost over 10,000 casualties throughout the entire war in both killed and wounded. Includes fold out maps and illustrations. Good+ copy of the first edition. The heavy book’s burlap cover is sun faded on the edges and the spine. The gilded spine lettering is faded, but the cover lettering and division patch is bright. No dust jacket. 422 pages.
