This is a unit year book for 1955. This covers the year when the 3rd Marine Division moved from Japan to Okinawa. It contains a two page listing titled "Triad" which summarizes key events between Jan 1955 and December 1955. These events include the new Commanding General, Major General Thomas A. Wornham, assuming command at Camp Gifu on July 1, 1955 and subsequent activities later that month in Okinawa. The first picture is titled "Arriving for Duty with 3rd Marine Division at Yokohama." Other section captions include: "3rd Marine Regiment at Camp Fuji" (pictures of all three battalions), "Yamanaka Orphanage," "The 3rd on Iwo Jima," "4.2 Mortar Company," "'C' Company, 3d Medical Battalion," "3d Tank Battalion, Anti-Tank Battalion & Company," "9th Marine Regiment, Okinawa," "1st AMTRC Battalion, Camp McGill, Japan and White Beach, Okinawa," "12th Marine Regiment, Camp McNair, Japan and Camp Fuji, Japan." ~ Condition.
