We strive to transform Shasta County through the power of Libraries. Libraries are at the heart of community, culture, education and democracy. The Shasta Library Foundation s support for the Shasta Public Libraries enhances high caliber programs that nurture literacy, the imagination, and lifelong learning. The primary goal of the Board of Directors and the purpose of the fundraising efforts of the Shasta Library Foundation are to build an endowment sufficient to meet the long-term, multi-generational needs of the Shasta Public Libraries system while funding urgent immediate needs of the public library.
