After roaming the world for the background of his novels, Hammond Innes now turns to the home of his ancestors?Scotland; for Laerg is one of the Western Isles. ## ## Hammond Innes is never more in his element than when he is writing of the sea, storms, and disaster. Laerg provides a perfect setting for this story of two brothers, one an artist, the other a soldier. For both the lonely island holds a fatal fascination.
