COLLINS PRIMARY MATHS is based on the learning objectives of The Framework for Teaching Mathematics (part of the National Strategy). The scheme takes interactive whole-class teaching as its main method of delivery, but with opportunities for differentiated group work and individual practice. Teacher's Guide Written in daily lesson plans which drive the course, and are organised to match the weekly/termly planning structure of the Framework. The guide also provides assessment materials. Text Books Colour textbooks, three for each year group in Key Stage 2. Two texts will cover Number work . The third will cover Measures, Shape and Space. Copymasters Differentiation is catered for in the form of photocopiable sheets. There is a separate set of support and extension sheets for lower and higher ability pupils respectively. A set of Homework copymasters provides a combination of practice material based on the objectives for each week. Games Pack A pack of Board games provides opportunties for purposeful group work. Software A CD-ROM per year provides interactive mental maths games for practice in Calculations.
