We The Enemy was inspired by the great anthropologist writer and linguist Peter Becker, who introduced me to the Zulu Royal household, and the powerful Sangomas of the Lebombo Mountains, who instructed me on the secret art of divination. The book tells the story of of the hunt for the lost Inkatha of Shaka Zulu - a sacred coiled Python skin stuffed with straw that magically brought invincibility to the Zulu King's forces.
