In the remote cottage in Wales, two urban couples are spending their holiday with an idealistic owner and his protege. At the beginning everything is idyllic - the mixed group of adults and children wrangling at each other, exploring the woods, and trying to keep amused or at least warm. But catastrophe lurks behind every tree - Joseph's joy with his young son Roland is balanced by arguments with his girlfriend Dotty and the other misfits. All are self-absorbed, somewhat out of step with ordinary life, and as the holiday continues their relationships start to show their cracks, culminating in a tragic finale. "Funny, acute and horrifyingly perceptive...Miss Bainbridge rarely misses a trick" DAILY TELEGRAPH

One would imagine that camping in a lovely cottage in the Welsh countryside would result in a heavenly holiday for this group of adults and children. Michael Tudor Barnes provides suspense as he creates the backdrop for impending disaster. As tension builds among the vacationing eccentrics, Barnes stays well abreast of their irritating habits, problematic relationships, and dysfunctional behaviors as they become more and more miserable, despite the idyllic setting. His performance reflects mounting tension as their squabbles and self-centered behaviors distract them from a child's severe personality disorder, resulting in a disastrous culmination of events.
