About the Author:

Roger Lancelyn Green attended Lewis's lectures as an undergraduate and later, when Lancelyn Green had joined him as an English scholar, they became friends. Walter Hooper met Lewis at the end of Lewis' life, aiding him with his correspondence. He later became an acknowledged expert on Lewis's writings.

From Library Journal:

Although this "readable biography" does not attempt to determine Lewis's place in literature, LJ's reviewer found that he "emerges as a warm human being" (LJ 2/1/75). thanks to the 1993 film Shadowlands, there is renewed interest in him. This revised edition offers new information and photos.
