Synopsis

About the Author
IAIN PEARS is a journalist and art historian with a doctorate in art history from Oxford. He covered the Dukakis presidential campaign for Reuters and wrote the Jonathan Argyll crime novel series. He lives in Oxford, England.

Jonathan Argyll, Italian art dealer, trades a favor with a French dealer and agrees to deliver a painting of the judgement of Socrates to Italy.
