Grade 4-6-- Some well-chosen queries from among the thousands of letters the Friends of the Bronx Zoo answer each year. Questions are divided into animal groups with nifty additions of "behind the scenes" at the zoo and a catch-all "did you know?" Each question is succinctly and clearly answered, incorporating scientific terms in bold with ease; readers can turn to the glossary for a more lucid definition. The index and well-arranged chapters allow readers to find information on specific topics. There is a slight bias to animals found at the Bronx Zoo, understandably, but not to the detriment of the book's enjoyment. Fine black-and-white photographs of animals in endearing poses are found throughout. This title will be of interest to libraries that support strong science curriculums or in which animal books are greatly in demand. --Amy Nunley, Toledo-Lucas County Public Library, OH
