About the Author Mary Lee, former features editor of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, has spent most of her career as a newspaper reporter or editor. A firsthand witness of Atlanta's phenomenal growth, she's lived in or near the city since 1972. She has written for Atlanta magazine; was an assignment editor for Seven Days in Dekalb, a coffee-table book about a major Atlanta county; and was an associate editor for The Prevailing South, a book of essays on Southern life and politics.
