About the Author

Emyl Jenkins has been an antiques appraiser for 30 years. She has covered everything from million-dollar antiques at Winterthur and other museums to the charred remains of fires for insurance companies. One of the first instructors for the International Society of Appraisers instructional program, she is the author of more than eight antiques books, including Emyl Jenkins' Appraisal Book: Identifying, Understanding and Valuing Your Treasures; Emyl Jenkins' Reproduction Furniture; and Emyl Jenkins' Guide to Buying and Collecting Early American Furniture.
