Review:

Vivian Greenberg's thinking continues to grow and deepen with each of her books. How wise she is to chide both generations to grow and garner the wisdom that the years have provided. This book offers guidance along with understanding of the human psyche. A rare and wonderful combination! Don't just read it—listen to it! (Daniel Gottleib, Ph.D., family therapist and host of National Public Radio's Voices in the Family)

A warm, thoughtful, and well-researched study of how ederly parents and their middle-aged children can, with wisdom, courage, and respect, relate to one another with genuine friendship while there is still time to heal old wounds. She discusses in depth the interaction between parents and children and why both generations need one another. This helpful and hopeful book is a must for the middle-aged, who should give it to their children while both generations have time to heal. (Louise Fradkin and Mirca Liberti, co-founders of Children of Aging Parents (CAPS))

Vivian Greenberg understands the needs and feelings of her readers and gives them tools to work with in their own situations. (Susan R. Keller, founder and editor of Answers Magazine for Adult Children)
