Jeriah’s brother, Tobin, is in terrible danger.

He’s willingly crossed over to the Otherworld with a hedgewitch named Makenna and her legion of goblins. What Tobin doesn’t know is that the Otherworld is a perilous dimension that will leech the magic from those who have it—and the life from those who don’t. Searching for the key to rescue Tobin, Jeriah is thrust into a tangled web of political intrigue as he uncovers a dangerous secret that could change the fate of an entire kingdom. In order to save both his brother and the kingdom, Jeriah must get help from the very beings he’s been taught to hate—the mischievous goblins. Meanwhile, the clock is ticking for Tobin. . . .

From the Author:
G. Gate is part of a chain of books, with a long history for me.  When I first wrote Goblin Wood, a long time ago, I barely managed to get my main characters out of the fix they were in.  Then I wrote The Goblin Gate (whose working title for years was just Jeriah) in which Tobin's brother, who had dragged Tobin into this mess in the first place, has to deal with the villain Tobin and Makenna left behind, alive, and in charge of the Realm.  (What kind of heroes let the villain win!)  Then I was going to write a third book where all three of them, and their goblin friends, have to work together to stop the barbarian invasion which is the root cause of the problem in all three books.  And I wrote all the way to the end of book two before I realized that I didn't really know how they could stop the barbarians.  So a couple of years ago, when my editor gently suggested that it was time to FINISH THAT STORY, at first I said no.  OK, I thought "no," but you don't just say "no" to editors.  What I actually said was, "Let me think about it."  And I thought about it, and thought about it, and after a few days I realized that I had finally become a good enough writer to write that third book.  So in Goblin Gate Jeriah has to tackle Master Lazur (best villain I ever created) all by himself--with some help from the goblins who were left behind, of course.  And in book three, they all take on a problem so big that I couldn't solve it 6 years ago.  (And I'm the author!)
