About the Author

Sonsyrea Tate, award-winning journalist, has written for the Virginian-Pilot, The Washington Post, and the Chicago Tribune. She also has worked as an assistant for Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton.

The eldest daughter in a family of 12, Tate, lives in her native Washington, D.C. where she enjoys the love and friendship of her siblings, parents and grandparents and dozens of cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.

Tate is currently working on her new book, No More Daddy's Little Girl: A Spiritual Sojourn Through the Hood.
