Heart at Work is a priceless, best-selling collection of inspirational stories about bringing back self-esteem to the workplace ad creating a happier environment that ultimately leads to greater productivity and profit. Overflowing with positive yet practical advice, proven strategies, and personal testimonies from every rung of the corporate ladder--from CEOs to busboys--as well as fascinating insights from such diverse personalities as Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, Anita Roddick, and Ken Blanchard, Heart at Work is a much-needed does of inspiration for today's increasingly impersonal workplace. From AudioFile:
The authors alternate reading warm, feel-good stories about work. Miller's voice is slightly nasal, and she sounds as if she's staring at the script, working hard to keep her place. Canfield sounds more relaxed; his northeastern twang, pleasant and friendly, gives a comfortable tone to the inspiring tidbits. Emphasizing thanking people for a job well done, these vignettes intend to encourage people to inject kindness into corporate America. Despite the enjoyable subject matter, these lessons could be learned in less than four tapes, relieving listeners of repetition of content and some of the tedious narrative.
