About the Author:

Richard Charles Seals is a former deputy head of the school of engineering at Thames Polytechnic and former principal lecturer at the school of engineering, University of Greenwich. He holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and is an authority on the design of responsive robotics. G.F. Whapshott also holds a doctorate in electrical engineering and is the author of numerous technical articles. Both Drs. Seals and Whapshott are professors of electrical engineering at the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom.
