Synopsis
French Grammar in Context uses texts from a rich variety of sources to help language learners hone their command of French grammar. Examples range from newspaper and magazine articles to literary texts and interviews with celebrities, from customer information leaflets and recipes to learned discussions of environmental and social issues.
Each chapter focuses on a grammatical point as it is encountered in a short text. Texts are followed by detailed explanations and exercises that allow students to practice grammar while building their vocabulary. The second edition contains new chapters on adverbs, adverbial phrases, nouns, and word order, as well as enhanced review exercises.
