V. C. Venkatesh, Ph.D., is a member of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Multimedia University, Melaka, Malaysia. He is the co-author of Experimental Methods in Metal Cutting and Computer-Aided Production Engineering. Dr. Venkatesh has also published over 100 journal articles and over 150 conference papers.

Sudin Izman, Ph.D., is the head of the Production Laboratory in the Department of Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering at the University of Technology Malaysia, Johor, Malaysia.

About the Author:

Sudin Izman received his diploma from Singapore Polytechnic and B Eng from the University of Technology Malaysia (UTM). He obtained his Master’s degree from the University of Warwick, UK and his Ph D from UTM. After his Ph D in 2004, he has been continuing his research in precision machining of hard and brittle materials involving silicon, glass and Nd-Yag and LiNbO3 single crystal materials.

Dr Izman has been working in the Department of Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Technology Malaysia since 1987, where currently he is the Head of Production Laboratory.
