Cleland, Ph.D., is a Fellow of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) and three-time recipient of PMI’s “Distinguished Contribution Award.” He has been described as the “Father of Project Management” and is honored annually with the presentation of the “David I. Cleland Project Management Literature Award” sponsored by PMI. Dr. Cleland continues to provide consulting assistance to international organizations. He has authored or edited 40 books in the project management and engineering management fields.
Lewis R. Ireland, Ph.D., is an executive project management consultant based in Tennessee, serving both U.S. and international clients. He is Past President and Chair of the Project Management Institute and a 25-year veteran of PMI®.
