Nicolette Papastefanou is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Public Relations and Business Communication at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT). She began her academic career at the then Technikon Pretoria in 1996. She received her doctorate in Public Relations Management from TUT in 2008. Her thesis explored management in virtual organisations from a complexity theory perspective. She was named Junior Researcher of the Year in 2011. In 2007 she was nominated as one of CEO magazine's Most Influential Woman in Business (in the category for Government and Education). She currently lectures senior students and supervises postgraduate research in the communication discipline. Stewart L. Tubbs is the Darrell H. Cooper Professor of Leadership in the College of Business at Eastern Michigan University and former Dean of the College of Business. He received his doctorate in Communication and Organizational Behavior from the University of Kansas. His master's degree in Communication and his bachelor's degree in Science are from Bowling Green State University. He has been named an Outstanding Teacher seven times, has consulted extensively for Fortune 500 companies, and is former Chairman of the Organizational Communication division of the Academy of Management. Sylvia Moss is a professional writer with a strong interest in the social sciences. She received her undergraduate education at Barnard College and the University of Wisconsin and holds graduate degrees from Columbia University and New York University. She is the author, with Stewart Tubbs, of Interpersonal Communication and has contributed to several college textbooks in the social sciences.
