Combining art and science, the lively images in the El morralito series are a feast for the eyes, and the simple and straightforward texts are an excellent introduction to the written word. From books on natural phenomena such as gravity and light to others that use animals to introduce children to basic concepts such as colors, numbers, shapes, and sizes, these books are ideal for the youngest of readers.

Educational and entertaining, this valuable resource introduces children to the concept of gravity, explaining both its importance to many everyday activities—playing ball, running, and sleeping to name a few—and its universality, as it equally affects objects large and small. Descriptions of various historical theories regarding the causes of gravity are also included.
