Mercury Meets Minerva seeks to uncover and analyse how business problems have won acceptance in academia and how academic values have come to influence business education. Using Sweden as an empirical example, the main theme is explored through reviews of the creation of academic business education, the process of selection of professors, research orientation, the impact of new ideas, and the development of the basic business administration curriculum.
