Walter Poucher, the renowned mountain photographer, walked and climbed in Britain's hills for more than half a century. He was the author of 41 photographic books, many of which were bestsellers for decades. Before he retired he had been Chief Perfumer with Yardley for 30 years. He died in 1988.
