The author's obvious enthusiasm about artificial intelligence research spills over into the text. Ginsberg's book covers knowledge representation in detail, but skims over such hot topics as neural networks. One advantage of Ginsberg's choices about what to include in this book is that it is accessible to students who are new to the field.
