This interactive program focuses on client education and allows clients to monitor their own behavior with a number of forms covering many aspects of their treatment. Clients learn about the nature of their problems, underlying causes and effective cognitive coping strategies by which to take control of their lives and initiate positive change. The therapist/client team can use the therapy modules in any sequence or combination appropriate for treatment.
The information and recovery strategies can be used with clients who abuse or are dependent on alcohol, sedatives, tobacco, cocaine, methamphetamines, and other stimulants, heroin and other opioids, cannabis, hallucinogens, and inhalants.
The Therapist Guide offers suggested objectives and topics for discussion at each session, and models an interactive framework for the therapist/client team to work through the stages of change.
