Shahi has held positions with leading international agencies and organizations including the Rockefeller Foundation, the United Nations Development Programme, the International Vaccine Institute and the Asia-Pacific International Molecular Biology Network. He has worked on life science and interdisciplinary initiatives across the public-private spectrum in many countries around the world. A "global citizen" who is fiercely proud of his Asia-Pacific roots, he enjoys nothing more than interacting and working with friends and colleagues across cultural, linguistic, national and disciplinary barriers to find common ground for action.
