Anita Finkelman’s Leadership in Management in Nursing, 2e takes a unique approach; its perspective concentrates on what nurses and nurse managers need to know in order to ensure that care is patient-centered and provided by effective care teams. The second edition of Leadership and Management in Nursing features a greater emphasis on the importance of the Institute of Medicine’s recommendations and their impact on nurses and nursing education. This new edition is split into three sections; the first focuses on basic leadership and management concepts. The second focuses on the five core competencies in relationship to leadership and management; and the final section contains content on how to facilitate professional success.
