About the Author:
Cathy Lee Gibson, MBA, SPHR, PHR, is the Director of Human Resources Management Programs at the Metropolitan Office of Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations in New York City. She holds an SPHR, PHR, and a B.A., summa cum laude, from Ithaca College, and an MBA from Pace University. At Cornell Cathy designs and directs the human resources program, teaches, and advises HR professionals on professional development, including the criticality of PHR certification.
